Will they cash travelers checks at guest services?

 

Is there any price difference in buying soda cards/wine packages before/first onboard/out to sea?

 

Do you have to make reservations for the climbing wall?

 

If my husband arrives an hour later than me, can I still get on the ship, or do I have to wait for him?

 

Only two weeks, starting to get excited!

Yes but they may limit the amt to $100 if early morning due to low cash but you can always cash them in casino when it's open.

 

No advantages to buying pkgs early.

 

No resy needed for rock wall.

 

Don't know the answer on the hour early.

I'm thinking we paid tax when we bought the soda card before getting on the ship and while the ship was still in port...you might not pay tax at sea.

 

Not sure about the other things. I'm sure someone else will answer.

IIRC I had to have photo ID when cashing.

Was never asked for photo id on ship to cash cheques, just gave them room key card, signed cheque and they compared signatures.

 

As for tax on soda card I don't remember I just noticed the 15% or so gratuities that were added.

I am not sure about the soda cards either. We have just purchased them when we got on-board.

 

We did not have to make reservations for the Rock Climbing wall when we went on the Pearl. We just went when the Freestyle Dailies said they were open.

 

I also do not know about getting on the ship separately. We have never done that.

 

I cannot believe that our cruise is almost here. :D

As long as you have your cabin card--- you can get on and off the boat by yourself.

I would guess the OP was talking about the FIRST day, when you checkin. As long as you EACH have your own passport and papers, as well as the first person having a credit card or whatever, you can check in without him. He can check in later.

 

As to cashing travelors checks, sure. Always wonder why people have trouble carrying cash. To each their own I guess.
