A few questions i need help with :)

hi all

 

we are staying for 1 night pre cruise in Intercontinental at miami. Is there places very close by we can eat in if we dont want to pay the extorniate price the hotel restaurant probably charges?

 

Also does the ruby princess have a choc / midnight buffet or party on deck?

 

In princess cay how easy is it to get on the tender? mum is able to walk ok just a little unsteady at times ?

Hi there,

For restaurants near your hotel, the Bayside Marketplace is about 2-3 blocks north of your hotel. Has lots of dining options, most are chain restaurants like Bubba Gump, Chili's, etc. But there are also good Latin places there too. Great place to walk around to window shop. It stays open till 10pm on the weekdays and 11pm on weekends.

No midnight/choc buffet - 24/7 food in the buffet. Haven't been on the Ruby yet, however, sister ships always have one of the buffets active Horizon/Caribe and after 11 pm set up as section of the dining room as a bistro with white linen cloths/waiter service. Room service is also 24/7.

 

Party on deck for sail away and usually some type of activity at one of the pool areas.

 

Princess Cay - The staff is always very attentive in assisting the passengers getting on/off the tender. You are at sea so steadiness depends on how windy/choppy it is that day. Waves and wind may be more intense depending on the time of year you sail. Ie: June - Nov is hurricane season so luck of the draw with storms in the Atlantic.

One evening there will be a deck party around 10 PM or so. It will include many desserts and fruit.

Bayside isn't even that far...a short walk thru the little park and you're there! Very easy! And, you're right..the hotel charges a fortune for food!
