crayonri Posted July 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2011 Hi, A few questions regarding Celebrity Summit - going to Bermuda - How is room 6047? Can we bring 2 bottles of wine per person? or per cabin? We're planning to bring a Brita pitcher and wondered is the fridge will hold the pitcher? Any other advice would be appreciated! Thanks! PEIsland Posted July 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2011 Just came back from the Summit on July 3rd and stayed in cabin 6131 and had a wonderful time. Not sure what cabin 6047 is like. The wine allowance is one bottle per person in the cabin. The fridge is a mini bar fridge so I'm thinking that a Brita will not fit in the fridge. :(

mandream Posted July 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2011 The wine allowance is one bottle per person in the cabin. Technically it is two bottles of wine per stateroom per the FAQ: http://www.celebritycruises.com/beforeyourcruise/faq/home.do?faqSubjectName=Food+and+Beverage&faqId=505&pagename=faq_answers Although in practice this will often be the same thing.... jdvmd Posted July 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted July 26, 2011 Celebrity allows two bottles of winer per cabin. If brought to the dining room, you will be charged a $25 corkage fee. I don't think there would be enough room for a Brita pitcher.

caribsun Posted July 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 26, 2011 Water on the ship is filteredno need for the Britta Yes it is filtered at the point of desalination but not at the tap. On a few cruises I would take a clean white wash cloth and place it in the sink under the tap with the water slowly running. Returning in 15-20 minutes the center of the cloth was yellow and also contained iron and calcium deposits, I still drink the water but i like to know what I am consuming.:D
JerseyGem Posted July 26, 2011 #10 Share Posted July 26, 2011 We just returned 7/24. Cabin 6050 was fine (a 2B balcony). We never tried taking the shelves out of the frig- if you can do so, then a pitcher would fit. I suggest either buying the water package (Pelligrino, Evian or Crystal Geyser are the brands I saw) or just using the water from the buffet (which goes through an extra filtration process from the tap water in the cabin). Although the tap water is safe- just warm! Although the official rule is two bottles (wine or champagne) per cabin, many in our group brought two bottles each. Teacherloves2Cruise Posted July 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted July 27, 2011 I think you should be able to clear out the fridge and shelves and fit the pitcher. Also, the rule is 2 bottles per cabin but some have mentioned putting 2 in a check bag and 2 others in a carry on with no issues. Can't help with your cabin question.
