swytie410 Posted July 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2011 Has anyone been in room 308 on the Lido Deck on the Emerald? Getting worried about noise, etc. Any opinions?
Gordoncruickshank Posted August 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2011 We stayed in L106 on the Ruby. No real noise issues ther but lots of tourists using the "secret" door to get above the bridge who then peered onto our balcony. Generally, corridors were quiet and no real noise from above. flamomo Posted August 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2011 I was in L221 on the Sapphire a month ago, and it was a very quiet area. I like it up there because it is so convenient to the pools and the Horizon Court. I have booked a cabin up there for a cruise in November, on the Sapphire again. Nebr.cruiser Posted August 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2011 We were in a similar cabin (can't remember the actual cabin #) on the Emerald in December, a supposed 'upgrade' of our balcony guarantee. Like you, I was worried about extra noise and traffic. It turned out to be a terrific location; no extra noise or traffic, in fact, the stairs at that end of the ship were little used. It was very convenient to everything on the Lido deck, of course. Those cabins are a little far forward, but we had no issues with motion; it was a very calm cruise, however. We like to use the stairs mostly, for extra exercise, and I must say it was a hard climb up from deck 4 or 5!
