Transportation from Airport

Last time my hubby and I took a cruise we stayed at a friend's house and drove from Palm Springs to Long Beach. Now my hubby and I are going to go on a cruise on the Splendor in 2 months and we don't know what transportation to choose.

 

Carnival offers transportation however I think it is a little too expensive for three of us ( I believe it's 49.00 per person). Does anyone have a suggeston of what we should do. I was think taxi service but I thought that would be even more expensive.

 

 

I think I forgot to mention that we are into LAZ and going to San Pedro Pier.

We used Super Shuttle last 2 trips. Airport was SNA John Wayne. LAX is a litlle closer.
