highlandshores Posted August 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2011 Hoping I can get lots of tips on what to do and what not to miss on our first PG cruise to FP. Probably will also be our last. So I will take any and all info from those of you that knows the ship and island. We are doing the 7day Society Islands. Leaving next week for the August 20th cruise. Thanks to all in advance for the help.;)
Emdee Posted August 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Never say it is your last... once the FP flu hits beware. Now tips: Make time to visit the Bora Bora Motu - my favourite place... Do take the safari in Bora Bora - the view from the top is fabulous. Have a wonderful time on Motu Mahana. Take plenty of pictures the sunsets are gorgeous. Have Efren's Cosmo and Ernesto's Champagne Mojito If you go to the Agricultural centre in Moorea have the vanilla icecream and buy some vanilla beans - also nice jam. Visit the Marche - they have a very nice vanilla powder that is delish on icecream. Say Hi to efren ( bar) Michael ( waiter) Miki ( maitre). Tell them I am already home sick for the PG. SweetCaroline74 Posted August 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Have Efren's Cosmo and Ernesto's Champagne Mojito Champagne mojito???? This might be a life-changer :D I think I'll become good friends with Efren and Ernesto! A girl needs her girlie-drinks, especially on vacation, right?
Emdee Posted August 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Sweet Caroline, My DD went armed with 9 pages of drink recipes. The bartenders were happy to get this as even they get tired of the pina coladas etc. Unfortunately all the ingredients were not available so she couldnt get them to make a lemongrass mojito ( recipe from Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and Pierce Brosnans favourite bar!) If you have recipes of your favourites take them. They make a very nice melon drink in Motu Mahana - cannot recall the name. The whole world knows ( certainly all the PG staff) that Efren is my favourite but the others are a close second. Alicia made a lovely strawberry mojito one night and surprised us when we were dining in Le Grill. She used fresh strawberries. I cannot have these sweet drinks but always enjoyed a sip of DDs. Enjoy!
