Anyone know of any good place to eat on the island.

There are plenty of good places if you have a car. In Georgetown, walking, you have Breezes,Hammerheads,Rackhams, The Old Goal. If you have a car or maybe taxi try Macabuca.

I would recommend Guy Harvey's upstairs restaurant just across the street from his store.

Hard Rocks are all the same, don't waste your time going there, plenty of other good places

Do not go to My Bar at Sunset House

 

just because the locals and hard core dive crowd have been going here for years and years means nothing about how good it might be .... 1mile south of town

My Bar at Sunset House is great, really good drinks and view.

We enjoyed Breezes by the Bay. Great view and the food was good. The Hurricane drinks were awesome. You can get them from 1-5 strength. We had a 5 and spent several hours drinking it and then very happily walking around town.:D:D:D

I go mostly for the memorabilia on the walls. Wife has gotten into the trap of collecting glasses from each one. So we each enjoy something about it.

Some restaurants in GC will sell Turtle Burgers. Not all the turtles at the Turtle Farm will be released into the wild.

A friend said she ate the best Italian food she has ever eaten at Cassanova's in GC. The people moved to GC from Italy and started this restaurant.

Most will not be released into the wild. Not only will they be used for food products but if you look in the gift shops you will see what else they are used for. One of the many reasons my mom and I really didn't enjoy the turtle farm. Really, just a breeding ground for the many uses they will provide. Kind of like going to a cattle farm, etc. to me.

We went snorkeling off of Sunset house a couple years ago.

 

I saw the most awesome fish! It was lying in a pool of curry sauce on the plate in front of me at My Bar and it was just wonderful!

What bus would I take to the Turtle Farm & how much is it to get in?

I just spoke withs friends who have a condo on Grand Cayman.

They strongly recommend the Cracked Conch on West Bay Road.

I believe I can even take the bus there... so I'm making this a "must" this cruise on Oct. 25. The said the food is great (expecially the conch) and the scenery is alway wonderful. What more would you want?:)
