Is that a spiral staircase?

I'm looking at deck plans of Equinox. On Penthouse, forward port, there's what looks like a spiral staircase. And it seems to go up to the spa ... a shortcut for those with cabins on Penthouse deck.

 

Is that right?

The Staircase connects the Passengers in Aqua Class on the Penthouse Deck directly to the Spa right above them... it ties in with the perks of cruisin Aqua Class.

On the deck plans, it is a bit hard to tell whether it could be accessed from that deck.

 

That's the AQ deck ... so those folks with cabins nearby can just scoot up the spiral staircase and go steam themselves without walking through a whole bunch of public spaces.

Indeed on the Deck Plans to someone not familiar with all the Celebrity Categories... it doesn't stand out at first at all (which is why so many people refer to as the "secret staircase"... one has to truly know what to look for and where to find it)

 

And ya, it is pretty cool... having direct access... bet that staircase sees a lot of robed clients vs clothed ones.

Yes it does see a lot of robed clients, we can vouch for that from personal experience. It's so nice not to have to use lockers!!

 

And by the way, if you are a wheelchair or walker user (in Aqua class) there is a nice gentle ramp in that hallway that leads to the front "relaxation" area, and in that area there is always nice hot tea available, in addition to the cold iced tea. And the view out front is nice too.
