browneyedwoman Posted August 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2011 I know that we'll need to bring our bathing suits for swimming. Do most people wear their bathing suits under regular shorts and t shirts or do they wear cover ups over the suits on the tender rides. If you wear regular clothes, is there a locker room to change into your bathing suits? Can you wear your bathing suit in the outside dining area with a T shirt thrown over it? Not sure if we'll even be able to be on the beach due to the hurricane but my travelling companions are wondering about this.
eh2zed Posted August 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Most people wear their suits with a coverup or Tshirt on. There are changerooms on shore if need be. For lunch on shore anything goes.
Typhoon1 Posted August 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Anything goes on the tender. We've just about seen it all. Remember you are going to a beach party, so dress accordingly. If you are on board one of the early tenders it can be chilly.
cb at sea Posted August 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Swimsuits and coverups are fine. Dress for whatever you'll be doing ashore. For the private beaches, most will be wearing a bathing suit, tee/shorts or coverup. There really aren't "changing rooms"...there are bathrooms, but why go to that trouble! The private beach days are an extension of the ship. Pretend you're at the pool! You don't have to dress for lunch at the BBQ on the private beaches. If you're talking about tendering to a port besides the private beaches, then wear appropriate clothing for your activity....shopping requires "real" clothes! Wayfairers Posted August 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2011 Bathing suit and coverup or bathing suit under normal clothes would both be fine. If you don't like to sit around in a wet bathing suit all day it is easy to throw underwear in a bag to change into after you are finished swimming. If you do that I suggest using a sundress for a coverup and then wear it as your clothes after swimming to make it easier to change.
