Before shipping out of Alaska, check your local Big Box retailers. COSTCO has some really good frozen salmon and especially good frozen cod.

 

Both COSTCO and SAMs have good smoked salmon especially as we get into the holiday season.

I'm with the others Costco!

 

Of course the other angle is in Ketchikan charter a boat, go catch 200 lbs or so, flash freeze it and ship back, works out to about break even around 100lbs I think, and you got the best experience eating what you caught :D

 

 

We finally had to start getting Costco as our supply from last year was exhusted

Most of the salmon I've seen at Sam's Club is not Alaskan but that funky lookin' farmed raised stuff with added "color".
