Hurricane Irene update from RCCL

Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises continue to closely monitor the path and progress of Hurricane Irene to ensure guests enjoy safe and comfortable cruises, and to make certain our ships steer clear of the storm. The safety of our guests and crew is always our foremost concern.

 

Given Hurricane Irene's current location and projected path, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises have not altered the itineraries of any ship that departs this Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

 

Royal Caribbean International

In an abundance of caution, and in order to provide our guests with a safe and comfortable sailing, Explorer of the Seas will depart Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 27 at 4:00 p.m. - one hour earlier than originally scheduled. We ask that all guests arrive at the pier no later than 3:00 p.m.

 

Celebrity Cruises

Given the current location and projected path of Hurricane Irene, Celebrity Summit will now depart Kings Wharf, Bermuda, today at 6:00 pm, a day earlier than originally scheduled. Celebrity Summit will now arrive in Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 27 at 6:00 p.m.

 

We encourage guests on the Sunday, August 27, sailing of Celebrity Summit monitor these updates for any possible modifications to the itinerary.

The Phillies have moved their Sunday game against the Marlins to Saturday afternoon. Guess they don't want to risk losing an opportunity to play Florida. Hopefully the rain holds off since I have excellent seats and taking my grandson to his first game.
