Communicating w/other Pax

We're on Allure next week and wondering about phones the system and stayin in touch with friends. I assume each cabin has voice mail but can the VM be retrieved from other phones on board or do you have to go to the cabin?

All cabins on Royal have VM.

 

Can can call and leave a message from anywhere there is a phone on the ship. I have only tried to retrieve messages from my stateroom. Another thing that helps is using post-it notes, and attaching them to the door of your friends.

I agree about post-it notes. It makes communication with family easy. We also make arrangements ahead of time to meet at designated spots at designated places. For instance, we will plan on meeting at Trivial in the afternoon or plan on meeting for drinks at a particular bar before dinner.

You have to retrieve messages from your cabin phone. It's not a big deal....you'll find that everyone will sort of gravitate to the same areas over and over....you'll find each other just fine, especially if you make tentative plans daily.

Isn't there also a message board in the Promenade for posting messages> I thought I saw a picture of it once but then perhaps it is just for group meeting announcements.
