HMC reopening let us know

Based on the press release, it does not appear to be anything other than the normal hurricane damage. Downed trees, beach erosion.

That beach gets smaller each year. Soon, there will be nothing left.

There are apparently beach replenishment companies that can be brought in to try to fix the problem.

I just got back!! Other than some disturbed vegetation, all is well and beautful as ever!!!

You can also see where the water line was up near the cabanas...I only noticed that because Id been there before. Again, no big deal and was amazing!

Thank you for the posts! I'm glad to see my "home" (Cabana 12) is fine!

DEBnGAB - thanks for the great pictures of Half Moon Cay and especially the yellow cabana. We will be there in January. Really looking forward to it:).

You're welcome!

I will say for Cabana #12 the fan/mister broke :(..the floor style fan. I lifted it to move it over and the whole thing snapped off of the base....I'm sure they will replace it before your visit :) Otherwise great cabana!!
