I have never been there myself, but it looks nice. Good area, transportation to downtown would be right there. It isn't "exactly" Boston, but Brookline.

This is a neighborhood type area with I would assume shopping, restaurants, etc. right in the area.

 

Probably a converted brownstone. Are you planning to cruise out of Boston? If so, you will be quite a ways from the docking area.

Yes, we are planning a cruise out of Boston, but are going to be coming in a few days ahead to explore first. We have since changed our reservations to the Royal Sonesta due to the cancellation policy of the Beacon Inn. We appreciate your answer!
