chicy724 Posted September 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2011 I wanted to add prepaid gratuities to our account- we sail on the 17th. Is this possible to do? If anyone knows- do you know how? I've poked around my reservation and do not see where I can add them. I didn't do it when I booked. Oops! Thank you for any help!
SexyK Posted September 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2011 Im not sure of how this is done, but if you made reservations with a PVP you can call them and have it done. I don't think Carnival will turn down any money. Have a great cruise.
tobylars12 Posted September 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2011 If you booked directly with CCL, just call the 800 number and they will be glad to let you prepay. If you booked with a travel agent, give them a call and they can get it taken care of for you. Have a great cruise!!!
giannasage Posted September 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2011 I was on the Dream in Febuary and I pre paid the tips after final payment. Just call carnival. Quick and easy and you dont have to worry bout them when you go.
gapearl Posted September 12, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 12, 2011 I called my pvp and added them after my final payment. Quick and easy.
zqvol Posted September 12, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 12, 2011 OP Normally you can but I believe that you are too close to sailing. Check with Carnival, if you are not too close it is easy to do.
near the beach Posted September 12, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 12, 2011 A short phone call to carnival or your travel agent will do it. Your payment will show up on your on line documents.

Haven't had a chance to call yet. Sail on Sat. If we don't prepay, do they just add them to our Sign n' Sail card anyways?
CapsR1 Posted September 14, 2011 #9 Share Posted September 14, 2011 That is something I look forward to doing on our next cruise. Thanks for the info!
joepeka Posted September 14, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Haven't had a chance to call yet. Sail on Sat. If we don't prepay, do they just add them to our Sign n' Sail card anyways? That is correct! You will see it on your S&S account either on that first day or the second.
raytownlady Posted September 15, 2011 #11 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Thats the way we paid the gratuities on our last few cruises; just makes it easy to have that expense out of the way.
Cushing985 Posted September 15, 2011 #12 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Actually I just did this a couple of weeks ago. Just called Carnival and they added the correct amount to the total still owed. I don't sail until April so still plenty of time. Not sure how close to sailing you can add them. We like having all required items paid in full before stepping onboard and even add to our onboard account.
BlueJacketsFan1 Posted September 15, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Why not call Carnival and ask them. If anyone should know it would be them.:)
rinny323 Posted September 15, 2011 #14 Share Posted September 15, 2011 You prepay the gratuities and then ended up having to cancel at the last minute? I would assume no problem getting them refunded? Seems like a silly question to ask, but I just want to make sure.
GloriaF Posted September 15, 2011 #15 Share Posted September 15, 2011 I don't know this abbreviation. Can someone enlighten me?
okwriter Posted September 15, 2011 #16 Share Posted September 15, 2011 I don't know this abbreviation. Can someone enlighten me? Personal Vacation Planner. They are employed by Carnival, and you can call and request one. That way, rather than booking online or calling Carnival's 800# when you want to book OR when you have questions or concerns, you talk to that same PVP every time. It costs nothing extra. It's just a little more personal service, as you are dealing with the same person rather than whoever answers the phone. :)
