purchasing a xpassage on rc for a friend

A friend of mine will be on a RC ship next month. Can he purchase a Celebrity Passage for me using my name and CC#? I will not be cruising with him when using the Xpassage.

Don't believe that can be done....your friend would have to be cruising also.

I know it can be done on a Celebrity ship. Last year our friends we cruise with were sailing and purchased a Passage for me with my name and CC#. She just dropped it in the box where you put them. No problem at all. I don't know how it works if you are on Royal Caribbean. If you can book Celebrity from Royal Carribean, I would say it could also be done.

Good to know. I did not realize that this we even possible. I knew that they had the friends and family option where they can also book the same cruise with the same benefits, but I did not know that you could actually purchase one for someone to book a cruise without you. You were able to book any cruise that you wanted without your friends being on board?
