BUSYGIRL Posted October 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2011 We want to take disney's excursion to the aquapark at Atlantis, but have noticed that thunderstorms are predicted for that date. Would Disney cancel the excursion and refund money if there were thunderstorms?
eskiemomo Posted October 3, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2011 we just had 2 excursions canceled (booked through Disney) by the cruise line and both were automatically refunded. Both were due to weather and I'm not sure what the criteria used were. I think that is what you mean, right? Or do you mean if once at the aquapark you feel the weather is too bad to stay? Not sure what they would do then.
BUSYGIRL Posted October 3, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted October 3, 2011 Thanks. I thought that would be policy but wasn't sure. Makes me feel better about booking in advance.
eh2zed Posted October 3, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2011 If the excursion is cancelled then a full refund.
Diane&Duffy Posted October 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2011 The DCL is very concerned about all of their guests safety. Should there be weather that would put your Family at risk (i.e. thunderstorms); the DCL will advise you of the cancellation and credit your charges on your on board account. newgirl2201 Posted October 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2011 If the excursion goes ahead you don't get a refund. On Panama Canal trip we took the excursion to the volcano crater in Costa Rica. The rain was so bad and coming in horizontally. We could not see more than 3 foot in front of us. So funny!! We could smell the volcano but couldn't see it at all. Of course no refund the tour went ahead. They did give us a rain poncho as we departed for the tour. Since the excursions are not charged to your onboard account until the actual day of the excursion, if the excursion is cancelled, you won't even be charged. :)
DKNE Posted October 14, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 14, 2011 Since the excursions are not charged to your onboard account until the actual day of the excursion, if the excursion is cancelled, you won't even be charged. :) We actually booked the Dolphin Encounter in Blue lagoon last week when we were on the Dream. We booked this back in July and we were charged on our credit card even before we got on the cruise ! Luckily we weren't the ones who had the bad weather and our excursion was perfect !!
