smixsell Posted October 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Just got my first visit from the upgrade fairy!!!!! :) Has anyone stayed in this cabin on the Sapphire or have a scouting report on A411? Are there any problems with pool area noise in this cabin, or any other issues? We seem to be amidships, 3 cabins forward of the panoramic elevator. I would greatley appreciate any information anyone could provide. Thanks in advance CC nation! :)

Toto2Kansas Posted October 5, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I have only had one stateroom under this type of area before, and it was very noisey. Lots of activity both day and night right above our heads (and our bed). Good Luck!
cruzsnooze Posted October 5, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I wouldn't take A411 because under a pool you will hear chairs dragged and noise. A nap in the daytime will probably be a bit noisy. At night the hot tub will probably have people talking. If you sleep real tight then no problem if not change cabins. This is an example of when an upgrade is not an upgrade. Most cruise lines price higher as you go up in decks but that isn't always a good thing. Sorry, you did ask an opinion and it wasn't very encouraging. BTW also stay away from under the GYM where the early birds will be on those noisy treadmills.
loliola Posted October 5, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2011 See if there is another BB available in a better location - and call (or have your TA call) to move you to that one...
smixsell Posted October 7, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted October 7, 2011 Thanks for the tips CCers! I called Princess and they were able to switch me to A308 which is directly under a state room on the Lido deck. :) I don't think any ambient noise I might get from the pool area will bother me, but I was concerned about hearing and/or feeling deck chairs being moved directly above our state room.:) Again, thank you very much! bajathree Posted October 7, 2011 #10 Share Posted October 7, 2011 The biggest problem on noise under the pool decks isn't from passengers...it's from late night/early morning deck/cleaning crews.
