We are looking to stay 1 night post cruise in South Beach, but not trying to spend an arm and a leg! I have seen most "nice" ones for at least $200.

 

Can anyone recommend any good, clean hotels close to the beach in SOBE that wont take away from my DOD $?

When are you going? I'm staying next week at the Marriott South Beach. Looks like a nice hotel, right on the beach and a 10 min walk to the action. I have read some good reviews online. It can be pricey but I got a great rate as a government employee and they also have AAA discount. I can let you know how it is when I get back.

Hotwire has a four star for $91 (could be the Riviera Suites?? or Strand??)

Might score a four star for less on Priceline. If you have kids, use Hotwire because you can select a room type.

If you plan to rent a car, staying (parking) in SoBe is a hassle and expensive. We usually taxi to SoBe and taxi to the ship.

I stayed at the Sagamore. It is oceanfront and with easy walking distance to Lincoln Road where there is lots of restaurants and shopping. I got it for $149 on their website when they were running a special.

No kids and we are going the Monday after Thanskgiving.. I will check into these places and try to snag a deal.

That same condo (on Hotwire) is $93 for that Monday evening in South Beach. If you want to bid on Priceline, I would start around $79 for a Four Star hotel.
