sooo excited we will be going on our first cruise in feb 2013! we are going to cruise with another couple! Sailing on carnival sensation out of port canaveral. Any good pre cruise hotels? Also do we have to have a passport??:)

you dont need a passport but it is recommended. If for some reason -- illness, ship trouble , family emergency -- you need to get off at a port and fly back home you will be unable to come back into the states. you can only enter via the boat.

You have lots of time to plan excursions, etc.

I agree -- get that passport -- best to be prepared -- you never know if something will happen.

I would never be without a valid passport. You never know when a great deal may be available on short notice. It would be a shame to not take advantage because there is no time to get a passport.
