Which excursion to choose

We are sailing middle of February (Carnival) and have never been the to the Mexican Riviera. In Puerto Vallarta, is it possible to do the zipline through the cruise ship (first one of the day), then take a cab on our own to the tequilla factory? We would like to do both, but the scheduling through the ship does not allow both timewise.
