CarolRoy Posted October 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Looking to book the Westerdam for Dec. 4, 2011 to the E. Carib. Can anyone tell me about the entertainment on board. Mostly interested in the shows in the main showroom. Been on the Nieuw Amsterdam in Dec. 2010 (Carib) and again in Oct. 2011 (Mediterranean). Saw the same shows on both sailing. Would not like to repeat seeing the same shows on the Westerdam. Wouldn't mind sailing the NA in Dec. 2011, but am afraid that we will see the same shows! 2011 – Nieuw Amsterdam HAL – Oct. – Mediterranean 2011- Carnival Miracle – May – Eastern Caribbean 2010 – Nieuw Amsterdam HAL - Dec.- W. Krazy Kruizers Posted October 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2011 The production shows don't change very often. As an example -- on the Amsterdam this summer one of the production shows was H2O2 -- we saw that a few years ago on another ship. Another thing we have noticed -- HAL will change the names of some of the shows -- but once we got there -- it was a show we had already seen. Good luck -- maybe you will see something new. The comedians and etc. do change -- some good -- some mediocre.
Rare boards Posted October 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2011 But they were different dancers and singers.
Monicaed Posted October 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2011 It seems to us that main theatre entertainment is the only weat part of a Hal cruise. A shame.
