My DW and I sailed the Majesty from Boston in June 2003. We took our 3 children (22, 20, and 17), one of whom brought a friend. So we put all 4 in a separate cabin. We had a great time. I went to the "outside" and read your nice review. My DH and I are going in June of this year on the Majesty. It helped to get an idea about the June temperature in Boston. For some reason the embarking city temp is never included when you read a review about a cruise. It was also nice to read a review without the "too personal" comments. Watch out Frommers! Misguy: my Majesty review is posted at a different site and not at cruisecritic.com. When I tried to post a link at this board, I was told by one of the Hosts that I was in violation of the rules. The operators of cruisecritic.com want you to use their TA's. That is a reasonable demand, since they spend the $$ and time to operate this board.

TheBoss: We're reserved for the end of August on the Majesty but are trying to switch to the first week in August so maybe we'll see you then. A funny thing is that we're also from Cambridge! How are you getting to the pier, by the way? We live near Fresh Pond--a taxi's an option but we'd like to save the $$ so we'e even thinking of taking the T! Do you happen to know how close the Pier is to the T? We may also see if a friend can drop us off. One last thing: do you think early August is safer than late August in terms of a hurricane AND have you ever taken this cruise before (we haven't)? Sorry for all the questions and let's look forward to a great cruise!

Better off to take the taxi. Do you really want to lug all your luggage around the T and then over to the cruise terminal? The taxi will be much quicker and easier! We are sailing the 22nd of August! See my review from 2002 in the CC review section. You are going to have such a great time!

Hi!
Does anyone know the difference in the AA and AB categories on the Majesty? I noticed that there are only two categories. Does that mean an AB is equal to a penthouse or a mini-suite? Was wondering what you got for your money by booking one of these rooms.
