Here is a new idea!

I have to agree. If Carnival stayed exactly as it is, taking the good with the bad, it would still be the best bang for the buck vacation available.

Of course, I like being on a ship so much that I'd settle for a rusty tanker (long as they had running water and reasonable food), but that's beside the point.

At any rate, I've got two more Carnival cruises booked, and plan to keep cruising as long as I have the good fortune to do so.

Love Carnival for it's convenience (see my sig) & the price value. Even if it means we do the same itinerary & ship (& the crew remembers me & hustles to change trivia questions in case I've memorized them!;) ) it's fun just to get away, relax & be waited on for awhile.

We got good "deals" on other cruise lines that made us try them out, but have decided to stay with Carnival for it's location. If we hadn't experimented, we'd be close to Milestone by now.

I can't wait for Long Beach to get some Inspiration at the end of the month (& I can change my signature!)

I agree never had a bad cruise , my only thing with the last thing I have never met John H, Have only met a couple of Cd 's in 13 cruises they dont make or break my cruise. I just chuckle at the way everyone takes what he says like the almighty himself just spoke.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just got back form a 5 day cruise to the Bahammas on the Carnival Ecstasy. It was great!!! Ship was nice, lots to do, food in MDR was very good and lots of choices, Lido was very acceptable, casino was fun, Punchliner Comedy club was very, very good! No complaints except for the terminal #3 embarkation in Port Canaveral, needs some work. Not Carnivals fault though.

I think I am going to start a new thread about the stupid, ridiculous negative comments I heard on the ship though. Some people can not enjoy their cruise without "bitchin'! But, then again they are like that at home too aren't they?

I've never had a bad cruise. In fact, I've never been on a cruise. After reading so much negativity it kind of scared me for booking a cruise. After reading this post all those negative &*%^* have gone away! I'm excited and can't wait to experience what everyone else has done on a cruise ship. I even love Carnival!!! See you in February!

Have never been on a cruise we haven't enjoyed. Can you imagine the fun we would all have if all these posters on this thread were on the same cruise ! It would be the cruise of a lifetime !

Hey ..... maybe in 2013 !!!

Maybe start a thread that goes something like "Only those people who have a positive outlook on life need apply" cruise.

Well put.

My wife and I both work in the service industry. Cruise vacations allows us to be waited on, "and we appreciate EVERYTHING they do"! It's not easy to wait on jerks.

As an ER/Trauma RN, I couldn't agree more. The only advantage I have is getting to choose the size of the IV needle I use to stick in their arm!! :)

Since coming back from my first cruise a few weeks ago, on the destiny, I have to agree with the OP. Seems like some people just look for something to complain and moan about. If I was going to do nothing but nit pick and find faults I'd stay my butt at home an save money!

I like to cruise!

I have never had a bad cruise!

I like Carnival!

Expenses go up!

Prices remain very good!

Stuff happens!!!

Mistakes are made!

Alot of people expect something for nothing!

Crusie companies do not, DO NOT< controll the weather!

This board has a lot of unhappy people on it!

but, this board had also a lot of great people on it.

OH, and John Heard does not lie!!!!!!!

Ahhhhh...refreshing!

It’s been 6 years since my last cruise and with all the negative posts I have been reading on cc boards, I was really beginning to think that cruising is not what it used to be. It is nice and refreshing to know that some people still know how to have fun on a cruise.

I cruise in a week – can’t wait. And I will not wait 6 years between cruises again.

I’ll enjoy a DOD for all of you.

I too love to cruise. Have only cruised on Carnival and have been very pleased. I think a vacation is what you make it. We like to do Disneyland trips too. I always have a great time there as well. I have seen other people at Disneyland not having fun, but it's their choice. Same goes on a cruise ship, you choose to overlook minor inconveniences and enjoy all the wonderful amenities available to me.

I would like to be on a cruise with all of you . . . right now!:)

SEE……there ARE positive people in this world! My faith is restored! So nice to see a positive post J I agree with the other posters that if you’re able to go on a cruise life is good!

We’re sailing on the Miracle in 23 days and we’re SO excited -- counting down the days!

Thanks for the great thread! We just did the Magic Transatlantic and all the negative reviews I've read have made me wonder if my husband and I have no idea what makes a good cruise:confused: Now I know that there are others out there who are glad to be lucky enough to be on the water with no responsibilities other than to enjoy ourselves!

Great thread and great comments!

A few years ago (I think it was on the Royal Caribbean board), we had a group we named the Sunshine Cruisers. It was pretty active for awhile and then died out, but we had lovely comments. We wore our "rose-colored glasses."

Happy sails.

Negative threads and comments dominate the boards because they write so often and look for fights. There are far, far more people who enjoy their crusie, love cruising totally, but they write their positive review and then let the neigh sayers tear it up.

The cruise industry would not be the #1 vacation dollar resource it is if they were so bad. And all the crusie companys are good. I just like Carnival!!!

If you want to post something positive do it! Don't be afraid of the doom sayers... and keep on crusing baby!!!
