AudenHoggart Posted November 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2011 We're sailing (in Concierge Class) on the Marina out of the Port of Miami on Jan. 3rd. Information on the Oceania website indicates that we cannot check in until 1 p.m. Does anyone have information on what happens, where you have to wait, if you arrive earlier -- say 11:30 or noon? I'm not sure what time we'll need to check out of our hotel and return our rental car, but I wouldn't want to have an uncomfortable waiting location at the port. Any insights? Thanks! sitraveler Posted November 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2011 They will let you board by 1:00, but you may not be permitted to your cabin until its ready for you. The ship arrives that morning and has to be prepared for the new passengers.
Rare LHT28 Posted November 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2011 You would have to wait in the terminal building until they let you board Just a bunch of chairs not even as comfortable as the airport ones;) I would just check out as late as you can from the hotel go to Bayside mall or depending on where you are staying do some sightseeing We try to arrive around 2 pm (not concierge) then we do not have long to wait
osandomir Posted November 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2011 In Miami, if we arrive early can we drop the luggage and come back later to check in? If so, how early they allow dropping the bags, so they take care of it? Thanks alot.

osandomir Posted November 7, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2011 Thank you. Would you know if they take our bags before we are allowed to check in?
Rare LHT28 Posted November 7, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2011 Thank you. Would you know if they take our bags before we are allowed to check in? The porters take your bags at curbside ...just like other ports
