Platinum members - Is disembarking different on last day?

Last cruise I remember seeing Platinum members had a separate waiting area , and not by a group code, or it seemed that they had their own code/group and were all allowed to disembark at the same designated time, like 9am.

Normally as gold members we are assigned a later group and have to switch due to catching a flight.

Is this true?

Generally, they disembark passengers by flight times....those carrying their own bags go first, followed by early flights who put their luggage in the hallway the night before. Those with later flights generally are in the later groups off the ship. Don't know about a special lounge, as we always book an early flight and are gone before you know it!

There is an area, usually in the MDR for Platinum and above to wait to debark. They usually have a continental breakfast there if you get there early enough to eat. We only have had to wait a few minutes. They do ask you when you need to debark due to flights or other transportation methods a couple of days before coming back so they can assign numbers. There's also separate waiting areas for suite members, which for us on Freedom was the small side dining room off the MDR. Tags are numbered and there are groups with the same number waiting in the same areas, but times are usually close together so no one has to wait a long time. I asked for after 9 am, but got 8:30 or something like that when we were on Freedom in a GS and that has to do with the fact the ship comes in at 7 am so they're trying to get everyone off. If you have an early flight they will give you an earlier number, regardless of your status.
