CruiserBruce Posted November 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2011 On HAL, ships time will be the same as local time in most of the ports. There are a couple of unique exceptions.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted November 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2011 Quick Question, does HAL's Eurodam use ship's time or change to local time in the Caribbean ? Local time! Your CD will mention it and it will be published in the Daily Program as to when to set your watches/clocks forward/backwards The only HAL 'regular' port where you stay on ship's time is at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Himself Posted November 25, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2011 There is always an announcement and it is in the daily program delivered to your state room while you are at dinner.
Crazy Gramps Posted November 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Just check the clock in your stateroom. But it's pretty much local time. Gramps
RuthC Posted November 27, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Just check the clock in your stateroom. Most HAL cabins don't have a clock, unless you bring it yourself.

NelleS Posted November 27, 2011 #9 Share Posted November 27, 2011 You'll find the time on the ship's info channel on the TV.
RuthC Posted November 27, 2011 #10 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Every one I've been in had a clock Which does not change the fact that most HAL cabins do not have a clock.
Typhoon1 Posted November 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Ships time and local time are essentially the same thing.
Harry1954 Posted November 27, 2011 #12 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Quick Question, does HAL's Eurodam use ship's time or change to local time in the Caribbean ? We just recently completed an Eastern Caribbean on Eurodam .. we left the Saturday before the time change off of daylight savings .. 5 Nov ... the Captaijn decided not to change the clocks ... this was fine for all ports except our first one, Grand Turk where we were an hour ahead. It created a bit of a problem for some excursions as the ship time had everyone leaving for an 8:15 or 8:30am but the local excursion staff were an hour behind. Some folks had to wait an hour before they could take their tour ... I dont blame the Captain as I believe it was a wise choice or we would have had several time changes if he didnt do that; instead only one port was affected. We always follow the TV time and bring our own clocks (one for DW and the other for me) attuned to the ship time. harry
