Your play is tracked on the slots and tables with your setsail pass. Make sure to use it every time you play. If you spend enough time and money, you will receive comped drinks (in the casino only) and a nice discount off your next cruise or even a free cruise. Their rules state $5 a spin min. on machines and I think it's $25 min. for tables and around 3 hours in the casino at one time. Tip: bring a lanyard from home to attach to your card so you don't forget it in the machines :) The cashier will punch a hole in the card for you . . . and good luck! Oh, and you will also receive some cash back in the casino but I believe you can only cash in your points once so wait until the last day.

I didn't see anyway to track the usage on the tables, only the slot machines. What did I miss?

On the tables, just put your seapass on the table, and the pit boss will "track" your play...it all depends on how much you bet and how long you sit there, playing @ $25 or more per bet.

Really? That's disappointing. On Celebrity, my husband and I are primarily poker players but we get in some blackjack as well (nowhere near $25/hand for the period of time they want, only when running well). Before the Premium packages were available, we always got comped at least a few drinks. Now they aren't much use anyway but the thought is nice. They usually give us shirts instead.

When we were on the Allure in November we asked the casino host. They are looking for a minimum of 300 points a day or about 2000 points for a 7 day cruise to be admitted to Club Royale. Yes, you can cash in your points the last day for merchandise and or cash but without those 2000 points for the week, no real perks!

I played a little blackjack, but at $10-20 a hand, they weren't about to rate me.

 

We mostly played quarter video poker. I saw the points change by (I think) 0.13 points with one pull. With something like 400 points at the end, I figured I showed them about $3000-4000 in action (meaning, at $1.25 a hand, I played about 3000 hands). I got a whopping $5 back (about 0.1% of my action). Enough for a drink.:rolleyes:

 

From 9-11 AM, they did do double points.

 

Very meager, but better than nothing, which is what it used to be. I have a friend who is a big gambler (and Diamond Plus) and gets cruises, money to spend in the casino, etc. Never was able to peg him on what he's playing, but I'm pretty gentle on asking about money questions.

It is more generous than a land casino.

A previous poster was right about the 300 points a day but that is an average. If you do not go in the casino 1 day, just make up the points.

The $5. per bet on slot machines is a lot of hooey. I usually play quarter machines, sometimes 50 cents. As long as you have your seapass card in, every penny counts.

Last summer on the Oasis I played 2 cent machines most of the time. The max bet was 100 coins so it was really a $2.00 bet if you played the max, which I did.

I hit a VERY big jackpot on one.....$2400. :O)

We do play a lot of the time, just not higher denomination machines

 

Anyway, once you get enough points to qualify for Club Royale you MUST SIGN UP BEFORE THAT CRUISE IS OVER. About 6 weeks later you will get a letter from Club Royale with a membership card & an offer for your next cruise. It is very generous. We usually get about $500. You just give them your booking number on your next cruise & they apply it like cash so it does not interfer with any other discounts you might have.

It must be used within 1 year or you lose it.

We each have a seperate account & get seperate offers.

 

Other perks I assume are usual as we always get them.......free drinks in the casino ! Any drink !

Waiver of 3 % fee when charging $ to your room.

Bottle of wine sent to your dining table.

On the Oasis they put a sticker on our card so you could get into any show without reservations.

Just ask the pitboss he-she will tell you what play is needed and for how long each day. Make sure to show your card to the table at each visit until they know you.
