Platinum Lounge for Cocktails

Your point is well taken but we never take advantage of the special drink offer (and don't believe Bloody Mary is one of them), as we prefer to drink something else. But we do take favour in things like the mountain of fresh shrimp and other treats. And on these last two cruises we met some very nice people at this gathering and are in e-mail communication with them now.

Maybe the drink offering is different on each ship but on the Sapphire in October, we were given a list of what each day's drinks were and a Bloody Mary was definitely offered one day. I am allergic to shellfish and seafood so the shrimp wouldn't be anything to lure me in either. We like to participate in our CC roll calls or meet others during trivia and other ship's activities. Just differerent strokes for different folks. Neither is wrong, just different.

On our last two sailings, the Platinum/Elite lounge coincided with the Power Hour, so well drinks, certain cocktails and beer were at the $3.99 price point also...

Hi, we are on Coral Princess right now and 5 to 7pm is $3.99 cocktails anyway,so not too many people are ordering the Elite Lounge specials, and now the frozen Mejor Margarita is not available there except at regular price, they serve a tall glass margarita instead now. IMHO that was one of the better drinks they had, and of course the 20 year old Port is gone, replaced by $10 a bottle Ruby Port.....................sad really.................

Thanks for the info, Griller! And yes, that IS sad... I loved that port! And also the Mejor margaritas and guacamole night. Might have to spring for the better drinks anyway. I can always buy one less T-shirt to compensate. ;)

Have a great cruise! Cheers,

Kirsten

The menu will change from ship to ship and even from voyage to voyage.

Below is the list for a cruise earlier this year.

These are the appetizers we had on the 12/6 - 12/20 Coral Princess. All were great! They were repeated for the second week of the cruise.

Is Jay still doing an excellent job in preparing the appetizers? He was just placed in that position for our cruise (12/6 - 12/20).
