Yes, we noticed that too when looking at a booking on Silver Explorer yesterday. It's a big chunk of change for something >18 months away - but OTOH, Viking wanted payment in full this month for a river cruise in November 2012.

The deposit isn't (to me) that big of a deal. Howerver ya think charging for decks is going to cause a problem? Such as, everyone booking the lower decks and the high ones unoccupied???? Just sayin'.
