I had the moderators delete the old thread and started a new thread. I had meant to allow people to select multiple answers, but I had accidentally allowed people to only select one answer. So here is the new thread, and you can select multiple answers. Thank you!

What is the best week for a Mediterranean cruise? Thanks in advance!

Part of it depends on which parts of the Med you seek to visit, temperatures you desire, your budget, crowds you tolerate, etc. Lots of factors to consider. Generally, late September to early October might get you your best range. Still, lots of personal choices and factors to consider. One size doesn't fit all.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Back from a June 7-19 Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 53,917 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

Thank you very much! I think that's the time range I'm thinking at this point.

THANKS! Glad to be of help. Since you have done lots of cruising in the Carib, you will find Europe and the Med to be very, very different. So many great options and potentials for many of these Europe cities and ports. Much depends on what you seek to do, personal travel style, etc. And considering coming in early for your cruise departure city such as a place like Barcelona or Venice.

How much are you interested in history, countryside, museums, food, wine, art, music, shopping, architecture, etc.? Then, with more detailed information from you, we can make better, more specific suggestions on what best fits your needs and interests.

Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Yes, we're expecting Europe/Mediterranean to be very different than the Caribbean. We're looking forward to that. We definitely plan on spending time before/after in Barcelona/Venice. We are very interested in history, museums, food, wine, art, and architecture. Less so in countryside, music, and shopping.
