Powerschaf Posted December 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2011 Hi all, I am interested in booking cabin 7044 on the Serenade of the seas - the only concern that I have is that it is above the Pit Stop bar and that it could be noisy in the evenings. Did somebody have this cabin before and could tell how noisy it really is? Or is the Pit Stop usually very crowded? Thanks a lot!
ChevyCruiser Posted December 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2011 I cannot speak to that particular cabin, but I learned early on not to book anything above any entertainment venue or below a dining/pool/gym either. If you are above any entertainment venue, you won't hear the high notes of the music, but you'll hear the boomety boomety bass. It'll be like parking next to a hoopty car while you try to get to sleep. If you are below any public area with moveable seating - such as the solarium or pool deck - be prepared for early risers dragging the pool chairs around. You can still find quiet cabins above the shops. For me, the best is a stateroom with a passenger cabin above and a passenger cabin below.
Powerschaf Posted December 28, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted December 28, 2011 Unfortunately, there is not much of a choice. This cabin or a stateroom without balcony directly under the dining area...
Let'sGo! Posted December 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2011 I agree with the advice you were given. We've had cabins above bars/clubs on a couple of cruises. Each one we heard, and felt, the base beat from below. Fortunately for us, I guess both clubs weren't well attended because they shut down about 12:30pm. Good luck! cb at sea Posted December 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2011 Actually, if you line up the staircases, you aren't over the bar area.....it will be aft of you.
PeterPan Posted December 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2011 As cb said, 7044 is not over the pit stop. Directly under the room is a hallway and the outside promenade deck/lifeboats.
