39august Posted December 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2011 Just responded to my post cruise survey. Very happy to see questions concerning both embarkation and debarkation! Since our Mariner debarkation was a nightmare, I was happy to give them the feedback on that situation. There was also a comments section at the end of the survey. 05mak05 Posted December 30, 2011 #10 Share Posted December 30, 2011 We were on the Mariner 12/18 and I haven't rec'd a survey. I gotta ask ... what is LA?
crookedhalo Posted December 30, 2011 #11 Share Posted December 30, 2011 LA = loyalty ambassador. Ours was very disinterested, kept getting our information wrong etc. In fact on the confirmation delivered to our cabin she spelled my DH's last name wrong! Also got some other basic information wrong that I had to call and correct once we got home:( We were on ExOS on 12/1 and just got it tonight. I don't think they are sending to everyone, but who knows? LOL
05mak05 Posted December 30, 2011 #12 Share Posted December 30, 2011 I was absolutely blank so thanks for your prompt reply. Wendy Kirby on the Mariner was the nicest and the most efficient that we're ever encountered. I just happened to wander by when there was not one soul in the office so we had time to chat and to get acquainted. We gave her a well-deserved WOW card. kruzerci Posted December 30, 2011 #13 Share Posted December 30, 2011 They must have sent out a bunch at one time. Maybe all Diamond and above?
71Corvette Posted December 30, 2011 #14 Share Posted December 30, 2011 They must have sent out a bunch at one time. Maybe all Diamond and above? Nope, we're platinum and received a survey request tonight for our 12/11 sailing on Adventure. It was long, but I took the time to fill it out. Hopefully they put the information to good use. Rare Familygoboston Posted December 30, 2011 #16 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Just did mine too...I had to say LA was a weak point, the guy was great, but they were way too busy...he never informed me about getting Friends and Family or whatever( I still don't understand it!) for 2 cabins, it's still kind of a mess with my reservation now. And I mentioned they should inform pax if the debarkation for people who purchase expensive things onboard will be different than what their video explains. I won't start that whole thing again, but it was an unexpected and unwelcome wrinkle in our plans! I did not like that the survey lumped all the excursions together. I loved Water Island biking, but Rainbow reef was just -meh...so how do you respond to that?
clean1owner Posted December 30, 2011 #17 Share Posted December 30, 2011 We had 20 people on our Majesty cruise, and the surveys varied from 1-2 weeks after we got back.
Darkwolfe Posted December 30, 2011 #18 Share Posted December 30, 2011 I think I've gotten to the point where I don't expect much from the LA. Just enough to get another cruise on the books, then clean it up with C&A once I get home.

39august Posted December 30, 2011 Author #21 Share Posted December 30, 2011 We were on Mariner 12-4-11. Yes, LA Wendy is very attentive. 05mak05- Did you also rate debarkation as poor and/or make comments about it? Anyone else have poor debarkation other than at Galveston? Debarkation was a breeze at Canaveral, in fact easier than usual. We were off the ship and through immigration in a matter of minutes bright and early! I don't believe I commented on debarkation and should have. We were group #4 supposedly escorted off the ship. It was a zoo as both gangways were opened and people flooding out from every direction. Group #16 was right in front of us. I think it was 10:30 by the time we finally got to the car. Walkoffs may have sounded like a good idea but now it's to the point of issuing time slots. The EZ Cruise shuttle drivers said Carnival was not having any of the problems experienced by the Mariner with either embarkation or getting off of the ship.
