Concierge 2 Cabins on Resort Deck on Solstice Class Ships

I have noticed that the Concierge Class 2 cabins up on Resort Deck (cabins 2101 to 2112) are some of the last cabins to be reserved, even the cabins with the larger angled balconies.

Is there some problem with these cabins? Why are they so undesirable?

I am looking for two adjoining cabins in C2 class for an upcoming cruise on the Silhouette, and these cabins are the only ones still available. ALL of the cabins in this block are available, while there are NO adjoining C2 cabins available anywhere else on the ship.

Can anyone tell me what I should be aware of, regarding these cabins? Any help would be appreciated.

we had a Sky Suite 2146 and were very happy with it. it was not noisy except on a sea day when they re-arranged the Oceanview bar tables and chairs around.

We met some people who had CC cabins on the hump on resort deck and they were not happy because of the noise that began very early and went on quite late. The restaurant began serving at 6AM and prep was earlier than that. There is no carpeting on that part of the restaurant so the sound transmitted right through. They were not happy at all. They asked to be moved and fortunately there were empty cabins and they moved.

We just got off the Dec. 17 sailing of the eclipse and were in 2107 and 2109 which are on the port side of the resort deck. These are prime rooms. If they are the last to be booked people are seriously missing out. Verandas are double and triple sized. NO noise from ocean view cafe whatsoever. Super close to the pools and elevators and absolutely no noise. IMHO you can't get a better location.

  • 3 weeks later...

We were on the Eclipse 1/7/12 sailing and were in 2105. We loved the location & experienced no noise issues at all. When there was music or a band playing by the pool, we could not hear it in our cabin. The balcony was wonderful, very deep. We booked a 14n in December but 2105 was taken so we chose 2107.

The Oceanview Cafe is above these cabins. They usually start cooking around 5 AM. They will be find if you are an early riser!

YES! It's important to consider what is above your room. If you are a light sleeper, a kitchen above could be a problem.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

TO DL13,

See you are fairly new to Cruise Critic... so a BIG Welcome Aboard !!

2107 on the Solstice is a Concierge Class Cabin... so yes you will be quite pleased with the Balcony Furnishings... quality comfortable adjustable chairs and 2 foot stools... along with a decent table.

Hopefully, someone else will post photos so you can see what you get... Mr Sloop and I spent more time than we ever imagined outside enjoying our Balcony (a C2 on the Sky Deck) on our recent Solstice cruise... including ordering Breakfast to have there several times. Was also a great spot for Sail Ins (when we managed to get up that early)

Cheers!

We had 2106 last year on Equinox - large balcony on the hump. We did hear a small noise sometimes and could not figure out where it was. We think it was the automatic door for the bathroom above but we were not really sure. The noise did not start early or run late, in fact we booked the same room on the Silouette in March. Great location close to everything.
