johnsak123 Posted January 2, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Home from the Chirstmas Cruise It was really lovely.Over 3000 cruisers because of the holiday Due to the expense of a holiday cruise I didn't cruise in a suite(yes poor me lol) but it was fine. I am not really into crowds but you hardly realized that the ship had over 3000 cruisers on it. You felt a bit of the crunch later in the A.M. breakfast buffet and on the last morning of the cruise when many went to buffet for breakie. The food was great at the MDR, the buffet and Le Bistro and Cagneys. As a matter of fact it was good no matter where I ate. Very friendly staff and many uniformed officers stopped by at dinner in the MDR to chat. We didn't go to GSC because of the water current and many on the ship were pissed. One drawback was the new year celebration. Was in atrium with Sinan and the countdown was inept. They did it twice since they were not in sync with Times Square. But it was still a nice time The Casino is much nicer than the jewel and the staff much more friendly. Drink servers were very very slow and once I ordered a drink while at the slots the server never returned. However, on a good note the previous night she did remember me from the night before and remembered what I was drinking Biggest complaint was cleanliness of the ship or should I just say my room There was a women's underwear and bikini top on one of the shelves of my room. This was clearly left from the previous guest. It made me nervous that my room or the rooms in general are not properly cleaned. They should go thru every part of the room top to bottom and clean it properly. Other than that a great trip but much tooooooo short Enjoy!!
