You know what is funny?

I'm not much of a gambler. I tend to limit myself to about $20.00 on the slot machines. Win lose or draw, when the $20.00 is gone, I move on to other ship board activities. I've never been bitten by gambling fever, and after a while, it gets a little boring. But that's just me. Plus, I know that the odds of someone actually winning a big jackpot in the ship's casino are very small.

I dont get the point of this post either other than to:

a. Get the CCL "cheerleaders" going on the quality of food

or

b. Get the gamblers going for being called stupid.

I for one take "x" amount of dollars into a casino, be it Vegas or the ship and when that money is gone, it is gone. I usually find it to be a pretty inexpensive night or day of entertainment.

Love gambling, and plan to do a little on my upcoming (first) cruise. However, I don't plan to spend too much time there as I can piss my money away in a cigarette smoke filled room with no windows much closer to home.

Someone is angry about criticism of the food...? Why attack the gamblers? What's next attacking the drinkers? It's because of them that your cruise fare is so cheap...

Hey come on! It's not the drinkers turn yet - I believe attacking the smokers is next on the list, then chair hogs, THEN finally there will be a combined smuggler/drinker attack. Please try to keep to the schedule.

I'm don't gamble at all. It was an old joke. No idea why the OP tied it to the food threads or why it was posted in the first place. Someone who isn't very funny was trying to be and it just didn't work. Gambling is entertainment for many. Sometimes it costs money for your entertainment. If I spend $250 to go on a deep sea fishing excursion I pay do something I enjoy for a few hours. Gambling is basically the same thing - paying to be entertained. Maybe you win some cash on a slot and maybe I land a huge marlin...or maybe we both gert skunked and we're both out $250. Doesn't mean either one of us is an idiot, just that we have disposable income we spend on something we enjoy.
