Cindyloowho2 Posted January 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2012 The Eurodam will be our first cruise, at the end of this month. After reading about the retreat cabanas, we have decided not to rent one, since it is just the 2 of us. My parents are just back from a cruise and said that it was almost impossible to find a lounge chair by the pool because everyone left their towels on one early in the day and never removed them, in essence saving them. Is this the way it's done, or is there a time limit on unoccupied loungers? Thanks,
dakrewser Posted January 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2012 If the only think on a deck chair is a wet towel, I put the towel in the "wet towel" bin - and use the chair.
Mary Ellen Posted January 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2012 HAL places rolled up towels on the lounge chairs for passenger convenience. This does not signify that the lounger is "reserved". Very rarely have we noticed passengers attempting to be 'chair hogs' by placing personal possessions on a lounger to stake their claim.
sail7seas Posted January 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2012 We have sailed Eurodam five cruises and never once had a problem find a chair in a fine location that we could enjoy. It was not issue for us at all.
RuthC Posted January 16, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2012 It's reasonable to expect one to "reserve" their chair for a few minutes while they use the restroom. Or for a little while while they are in the pool that's right there. Or for a few minutes while they get a plate of food to bring back---not to eat inside. But that's about it. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 16, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2012 DH will use lounger -- I no longer can so I get a chair and sir beside him. When one of us needs to use the restroom, the other one saves the chair. Neither of us go away for a long time. When we are ready to leave -- we both go together and clean up our towels. On sea days there are a lot more chair hogs than on port days.
Typhoon1 Posted January 17, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2012 Chairs are quite plentiful. Finding one should not be a problem. Chair hogs seem to be less of a problem.
