Using dollars/sterling in UAE

We are on the Dubai cruise on Sunday 23rd Jan visiting Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Fujeirah and Dubai and wondered if all areas took US Dollars or Sterling or whether we need to get some local currency?

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Have not bee to Fujeirah, but in the others we just spent US$. However, all our spending was at the Souks

US dollars are accepted in UAE. You can easily change money if required.

US dollars are accepted in the souk in Oman. They are accepted in the UAE also, but some smaller stores only take Dirhams. Also, I am not sure about taxis as we got Dirhams at an airport ATM upon our arrival.

when deside a cruise company too changed the cruise when it is not safe enough on route dubai , dubai whith brilliance of the seas.

we are doing this cruise in March, any tips on what to do in Khasab and Fujeraih.

are trips available when you get there ? or did you use ships tours ?
