Crown Bay Pier ?

Is the Crown Bay pier near any shopping areas? Or is it near the Red Hook Ferry? We will be in St Thomas next week and I have no idea where this pier is. Thanks

You will need a cab from Crown Bay to downtown shopping areas.. not sure if there are any little shops near there now but it used to be really a more "commercial" dock.. there is nothing like Havensight where most ships dock.

They are currently building a shopping area at Crown Bay dock but it isn't open yet.

 

So right now there isn't anything really there. You could walk to the Crown Bay Marina to take the ferry to Water Island or to eat at Tickles Restaurant. Thats about it.

 

Crown Bay is close to Charlotte Amalie, its just in the opposite direction from Havensight. So if you were standing on the waterfront in Charlotte Amalie facing the water/harbor; Havensight would be like 8 minutes driving time to your left and Crown Bay would be about 8 minutes driving time to your right.

 

You would want to take a taxi from Crown Bay to Charlotte Amalie or just about anywhere else you want to go. The closest beach is Emerald Beach.
