ihopfar Posted January 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2012 I am looking at staying at the St. Regis in Vancouver post cruise. Looks like a good location, good rate, highly rated on Trip Advisor. So, any downside I should know or is it as good as it sounds? We don't need anything fancy, just clean and comfortable. Thanks, Brad
gacruiser5 Posted January 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2012 I am also interested. Planning to stay pre-cruise and hope those who have stayed there before can give specifics. Expecially interested in logistics as far as walking around downtown area the morning before boarding. What to see and any other info on hotel would be appreciated. Thanks, Brad Clean and comfortable, and next door to the Granville Skytrain (subway) station. It's a recent (3yrs ago) reno of an old hotel, and while I would have never recommended the old, the new is quite good. Starbucks on Site, Tim Hortons across the street (along with Burger King, 7-11). Also, an easy 4 block walk to Canada Place, and it's slightly downhill. If you're coming on Canada Line from the airport; get off at "Vancouver City Centre" and it's a block and a half (slightly downhill) from that station; or use the Granville St/Hastings St exit from Waterfront (Canada Line), and walk slightly uphill for 2½ blocks.
