Hi Blondie so glad you got it sorted out, yes i did know that it is like a bus picking up people at each stop. What a mess its all been! We are going with friends and have said we are going to put it all behind us and realy enjoy the cruise. Costa's web site is showing the trips again now, the evening one we wanted is no longer there, so will go ashore and have a meal and look round. Might see you in a bar while using my drinks package. LOL. Dotty.

 

Dotty, so its not just me? They did change the Hamberg itinerary? I was sure they had downtown night excursions? is that right? I was sure we had a full overnight in hamberg?

We ve all agreed that as its such a nice ship..we will be fine with an evening or few hours out in Hamberg now..but I was so sure there was evening excursions before... so I am not going dotage then??

So you suffer from PCD (Post Cruise Depression), this can also affect men too. Luckily for us men, we are spared the other great depression. :)

Hi Blondie, i don't know where i saw it but i think we leave Hamburg at 2 am, i did wonder if the Neo Romantica went slower and that is why we are not there so long. We are hoping to get a taxi to Pauli and i have seen a nice fish restaurant on line that we might try. We must do something as the Casino will be closed and we spend most evenings in there playing Black Jack!

Yes, me too, I saw something recently that says 02am, I cant access my booking just now as they have changed our booking number.

I try if I can to stay clear of casino, especially roulette (cant play BJ!), I am the unluckiest person there is lol! My son in law will be in there lots though, know he loves to play!

I'm more of a "one armed bandit" throw my cash away kind a girl hah!

Im just so thrilled we have our family re-union back on. It would have been heartbreaking for us all to have to cancel. I dont get to see our daughter much, so cherish every single second. So if you see a blonde glued to a babier version blonde, chances are, its me and my babes :D (we used to be described as Barbie and baby Barbie..now I'm just "mother of Barbie" LOL!!!

We too were switched from the Majica to the NeoRomantica. Something that hasn't been mentioned is that as well as changing the ship, the time in all the ports has been decreased by an hour or two. Less time to try to get to Paris or Berlin!

We were also switched from Costa Magica to Neo Romantica. Never got a phone call just an e-mail. I called and they werent very nice, said I was to receive a phone call and that was 2 weeks ago. Originally it was a nine day. Neo Romantica may be beautiful, but we didnt ask for that ship. I asked to stay on Magica, even though it was a different itinerary, they said it would be over 2,000 more to stay on ship. After spending well over 3000 already I dont think so. This was my sons graduation gift and were picking my daughter up from Ireland where she is studying abroad. We are so disappointed, unfortunately they didnt seem to care. We eventually cancelled..

So sorry Itish..thats exactly what they wanted you to do... you shouldnt have backed down. They really are being sloppy huh... without a fight, people are cancelling which is exactly what they want as right now, they have too many bookings and not enough spaces... if theres still time, fight to have Magica at same costs, we were offered that at one point! Which port were you departing from? In my research I found some good cruises going out, let me know ur dates and rough idea of where you wanted to go and which port you were departing from as I feel like a cruise expert now this week having tapped into so many alternatives?

We too were booked on Magica and now find ourselves on NeoRomantica. We havent been sent an email or phone call either about the change, the only time i noticed was when i logged into my Costa account! I logged in and found.

 

My ship was different - i was booked on Magica and was now on Neo Romantica, my cruise dates had changed and i was leaving later from Marseille ( don't worry about the land content you have booked already!!!), the length of the cruise was changed with no word about cost differences!!, the itinerary was different (2 ports out 1 new one in!!- don't worry about tours you have booked!), my cabin was on the other side of the ship!....ok i know they are in a bad situation with the Concordia disaster but the thing that really got me cross was that they hadn't bothered to even contact me!!! What a pathetic effort
