This will be our itinerary in September. We have done a Hawaiian cruise before. What recommendations to you have for excursions on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kauai and Maui. We have done the Road to Hana already so looking for other ideas on Maui. Anything MUST SEE? Thank you so much.

Without knowing anything about your interests, budget or limitations, it is very hard to give recommendations for you. I would suggest reading the board for several pages and see what other comments and questions have come up. Then, perhaps you will have some specific questions for us to help you with.

Start by looking at what your ship offers to get an idea of what you want to do.

As other poster stated its a little difficult and possibly a waste of time posting things that you wouldn't be interested in.

Also don't know what cruise line your using but NCL has level ratings on each activitywhich can be helpful.

We have seen just about everything on Maui--no helicopters tho'.

In the past we have taken the Maui Ocean center ships' tour.

This time we are looking at Ioa Valley.

One nice tour--wonderful driver--was a Little Circle Island tour. Honolulu.

Kauai--Fern Grotto, however this time we are going to Waimea Canyon.

Tsumani Museum tour in Hilo was very interesting.

We recently did this cruise & did a helicopter ride in Maui that was a little pricey, but wonderful and we felt well worth the money.

We did the "Maui Spectacular" through Blue Hawaiian - it was a tour of the whole island with a landing at the Ulupalakua Ranch where we had spectacular views and also had some champagne which was produced in Maui - Hula O Maui - had a pineapple taste & was wonderful.

It lasted 90 minutes and was really something - had a very happy husband for planning this excursion!
