TurtleKraal Posted October 20, 2012 #53 Share Posted October 20, 2012 It would require a cab ride or a bike/scooter rental, but my wife and I think the BEST LUNCH place would be Hogfish Bar and Grill, on Stock Island. It is just a stone's throw outside of KW. Great food, lovely atmosphere, cold beers and rum punch, and a huge menu. Worth the trip!!!!! http://www.hogfishbar.com/
beerman2 Posted October 21, 2012 #54 Share Posted October 21, 2012 Had lunch at Hogfish last Feb. while in KW for Put-in-Bay Days. Very good hogfish sandwhich.

Worth the trip!!!!! http://www.hogfishbar.com/ Hogfish is good, but I would have to say for someone on a cruise stop it isn't "worth the trip" considering there are plenty of good places downtown and they'd have more time to do some other things during their visit. threeofus Posted October 28, 2012 #56 Share Posted October 28, 2012 I agree...Hogfish is great BUT with only a few hours there are many other things to do and see.
Rare patrice1 Posted October 29, 2012 #57 Share Posted October 29, 2012 For lunch only: For authentic Cuban - Havana 1 on Truman For Tapas - Santiago's Bodega on Petronia For French food - definately La Creperie on Petronia For Italian - Antonia's on Duval For seafood - Black Fin on Duval, BO's on Caroline and Hogfish on Stock Island For Hot Dogs - Maddy's Diner on Duval (super cheap & super good!) Your mileage may vary, but these are the places we love.:D

CRUZ-AHOLIC Posted December 1, 2012 #60 Share Posted December 1, 2012 blue fish red fishPepe's A & B - not open for lunch but their sister restaurant down stairs is HogsBreath Went to HogsBreath last year, would never do it again. Bland, 'touristy' food at touristy prices. Also, a friend ordered a beer and they brought it to her in a small cup. Not even a full bottle's worth..total ripoff :(
peter_krynicki Posted December 1, 2012 #61 Share Posted December 1, 2012 The buzz now seems to be Garbo's Grill, a small food stand, 603 Green Street just down from Sloppy's ... http://www.yelp.com/biz/garbos-grill-key-west-2 ...especially for the fish tacos. laughing husky Posted December 21, 2012 #62 Share Posted December 21, 2012 One of the best places to eat....I think it is the BEST place is Cafe Sole....great setting, off Duval St. Wonderful menu and wonderful people who own it....They have been in Key West for years now and it is still one of the best places on the island .. threeofus Posted December 23, 2012 #64 Share Posted December 23, 2012 blue fish red fishPepe's A & B - not open for lunch but their sister restaurant down stairs is HogsBreath The restaurant below A&B is Alonzo's - it's pretty good. Pepe's is an interesting place, but most people think the best meal there is breakfast Sorry - but in my opinion I would not waste my time or money at Red Fish Blue Fish
