Need lunch recommendations in Key West

It would require a cab ride or a bike/scooter rental, but my wife and I think the BEST LUNCH place would be Hogfish Bar and Grill, on Stock Island. It is just a stone's throw outside of KW. Great food, lovely atmosphere, cold beers and rum punch, and a huge menu. Worth the trip!!!!!

Had lunch at Hogfish last Feb. while in KW for Put-in-Bay Days. Very good hogfish sandwhich.

Hogfish is good, but I would have to say for someone on a cruise stop it isn't "worth the trip" considering there are plenty of good places downtown and they'd have more time to do some other things during their visit.

I agree...Hogfish is great BUT with only a few hours there are many other things to do and see.

For lunch only:

For authentic Cuban - Havana 1 on Truman

For Tapas - Santiago's Bodega on Petronia

For French food - definately La Creperie on Petronia

For Italian - Antonia's on Duval

For seafood - Black Fin on Duval, BO's on Caroline and Hogfish on Stock Island

For Hot Dogs - Maddy's Diner on Duval (super cheap & super good!)

 

Your mileage may vary, but these are the places we love.:D

Went to HogsBreath last year, would never do it again. Bland, 'touristy' food at touristy prices. Also, a friend ordered a beer and they brought it to her in a small cup. Not even a full bottle's worth..total ripoff :(

The buzz now seems to be Garbo's Grill, a small food stand, 603 Green Street just down from Sloppy's ...

One of the best places to eat....I think it is the BEST place is Cafe Sole....great setting, off Duval St. Wonderful menu and wonderful people who own it....They have been in Key West for years now and it is still one of the best places on the island

and Yes, I was local...lived in the Keys for over 20 years.....then had to move...and I still go back and I still think that John's food at Cafe Sole is the best...

The restaurant below A&B is Alonzo's - it's pretty good.

Pepe's is an interesting place, but most people think the best meal there is breakfast

Sorry - but in my opinion I would not waste my time or money at Red Fish Blue Fish
