flight times out of lax

You should not have any problems if you are early off the ship. We've done this twice with self debarkation and have been at the airport early enough to consider standby for the 10:30 flight.

If you can handle your own bags, do self debarkation. It saves the time needed to look for the bags. You will breeze through customs because no line has built up. Also, no line for taxi. It takes away a few things to worry about if you are concerned about the flight time.

Get a taxi to the airport. You don't have to wait for others to fill the bus or shuttle or find their luggage. You don't have to wait for the bus to be unloaded or stops at other terminals. There are carpool lanes, so even with traffic you go faster than the other lanes.
