jsf Posted February 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2012 We started cruising in 1991 and have about 16 cruises under our belt, we haven't sailed since 2007 and we see that things have changed some since then. Mostly we have sailed on RCI and Celebrity, my first question is I saw the dailes from last weeks cruise and see no times for breakfast in the MDR, is there no serving for breakfast or lunch? My SO loves her sit down breakfast every morning, what's up with that? I also see a little an article that say's that the daily service gratuties will be added to our account, I 'm used to tipping on the last night and I'm not sure I like tipping ahead of service. Maybe I'll have to get used to a different kind of cruising, you know cruising for the masses. J.

But there is a section on the daily listing all the times for all the meals in the dining room. (it is always listed in the same spot on the daily). Breakfast is served in the main dining room. I am only going from memory and I believe it is open from about 6:30 or 7:00 till about 9am......or 8:30 on some days. As for lunch, the dining room is only open for lunch on sea days. I used to give $ money at the end and was not sure I would be pleased with auto tips either, but now? It really is easier and to be honest, if you have extra good service and want to give extra, you may certainly do that at the end of the cruise.;)
Sloop-JohnB Posted February 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Hi Jsf, Welcome BACK to Celebrity :) There are lots of active threads here on the CC CELEBRITY BOARD right now about Gratutities, Service Charges and Extra Tipping ... worth a quick browse to find them. Cheers!
