cruise8x+ Posted February 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2012 I would be concerned if plans were made to disembark in Le Havre to continue to Paris, and we didn't even get there in the first place. Should I be worried for a May sailing?

Should I be worried for a May sailing? Very uncommon. LeHavre is a major commercial port that has a pretty sheltered port good for most weather conditions. It would take a major storm or very high winds for you to miss this port. Hank
Rare John Bull Posted February 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2012 I'm broadly inclined to agree with Hank The port itself is fine weather-wise. French fishermen have had a habit of blockading Channel ports whenever the people wanted to demonstrate against their government. & that's fouled up ferries in the past, I don't know about cruise ships. But, touch wood, they've behaved themselves for a number of years. No port-of-call is guaranteed, but Le Havre is about as safe as they come. Mines Posted February 17, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2012 On our Jewel of the Seas cruise in 2004 the seas were rough and we missed Plymouth, but Le Havre the day before was OK to dock.
