Do the travel insurance policies cover American Airlines flights?

Given that American Airlines has filed for bankruptcy, are their flights covered by the travel insurance policies?

Each insurance provider has an exemption list or alert list. I just went to travelguards website and looked at their alert list.

They no longer provide financial default coverage for travel on American Airlines, American Eagle, or AMR as of 11/29/2011 (I believe).

If you bought coverage before the date that AMR filed for bankruptcy protection, then you're OK. If you bought tickets before that date but are looking for coverage now??? out of luck.
