Bill I do not believe that the photographer was in town that week for your sail away. Unfortunately my computer froze about the time the bridge wing was been zoomed in on. I was not able to catch a capture.:(

Is he on the beach or the condos? There was a guy on the beach near the rocks for the Oasis the day before.

When I was last there I saw the damage to the power plant. I've seen a lot of reference to the 4 iconic smoke stacks coming down soon. I imagine they will implode them. That would be a neat camera event, I wonder if that has been scheduled?

Morning Bill ~ yes the implosion has been scheduled and can be seen on the Port Everglades webcam on Tuesday July 16. Implosion time is set at

6:45 am eastern time.

This is a fav capture I took from January of this year. Oasis and Allure photos will just not look the same without those iconic smokestacks behind them.

I'm looking forward to more ships being in port again, I miss the parade at 5pm on weekends. I'll probably be laid up after surgery in January and be watching a lot, and adding to my CC post count :)

Having gone on Oasis previously, and also watching the webcam periodically just for the entertainment value...I did see they made some changes to the webcam positions over time (and this year).

Both Oasis and Allure can be fun to watch as they leave port at about 5pm and also arrive (early in the morning).

Glad that the season is back upon us. I just watched the new Royal Princess cruise by. She played the Love Boat theme on her horn. Very cool and different. Four ships leaving FLL today.

For anyone that has not heard her horn.

Thanks for the link. It definitely makes you smile.:)
