What time should we schedule rental car pick up after disembark?

First time cruiser here with a quick question. What time should we schedule the rental car pick up post cruise from Budget in Port Canaveral? We don't have a flight home until the following day. CC has been invaluable planning our cruise. A big thanks to everyone.

Since you are not in a rush you can sleep in a bit; enjoy one last breakfast in the MDR, and then exit the ship about 8:30-9:00. Most of the crowd anxious to get to MCO or on the road will be cleared out by then. Good luck! :)

Is the shuttle from Budget waiting at the pier or do we have to call them to pick us up to go get our rental?

Thanks. We usually drive our own car or fly so this is the first time we are using a rental and I just want everything to go smoothly.
