When I past a link for a picture... why does it come out as a link... and not simply display the picture? What am I doing wrong? Here are two different attempts at displaying the same picture...

You have to upload the pictures to a web hosting site, like photo bucket, then post the link in the little yellow mountain looking thingee above... looks like a postage stamp.

 

You cant just post a link, unless you post it as a url, and then someone would have to click on the link to see it.

Thanks! Anyone know if it's possible using Picasa Web? i don't see one of the little mountain thingys.

My picasa shots would not show up so I started to use webshots instead for posting here.

 

They have a really easy format - bring up your phot - slect view other sizes, and then slect the size you want to post copy the link, paste into the dialog box and you are good to go.

You can host your images anywhere. I use photobucket... makes it easy...

Once your images are uploaded look for the 'IMG Code' line. Highlight and copy...

 

Paste that information in your post where you want the picture to appear...

I added that image at Picasa Web...

 

Hummmm... I had to right click on the image... select 'Properties' and copy the url for the image into the box presented when you click on the little yellow icon with the mountains... What a hassle!!!

Weird. I don't get all the same formatting options. Is there a setting or something that I need to change? I just get a big box with the smiles at the bottom.

I found it! I had to adjust my setting in the CP... I had the "Basic" editor on.. had to switch to the "Enhanced" editor. Should have started there first. Thanks again for the help!
